The Username, Password, or Company ID in the connection settings is wrong. Verify them under Manage Team > Connections, update the incorrect value, and reprocess the document.
Epicor sync errors
When a document fails to process into Epicor, the cause is usually connectivity, credentials, or data validation. Start with the connection: if the Epicor connection is unhealthy or offline, every document fails until it is healthy again.
Check the connection first
An unhealthy or offline connection blocks all documents, so rule it out before looking at individual errors.
Go to Manage Team > Connections.
Find your Epicor connection and check its status.
If the connection is unhealthy or offline, fix that first. The Troubleshooting a connection article walks through the diagnostics. Once the connection is healthy, reprocess the failed documents before investigating further.
Common Epicor errors
Match the error on the document to the fix below.
Login failed or 401 Unauthorized
User does not have API access
The Epicor user account Fluent connects with does not have API permissions enabled. Ask your Epicor administrator to enable API access for that user.
Company ID not found
The Company ID in the connection settings does not match the company configured in Epicor. It must match exactly, including case. Compare the two and correct the Company ID in the connection settings.
Record not found or invalid field value
A field in the document, such as a customer, part number, or GL account, does not match a record in Epicor. Correct the field on the document and reprocess it.
Test your credentials with the troubleshooter
If the errors point at authentication, Fluent's connection troubleshooter generates a test curl command you can run against the Epicor login API directly. A successful response confirms Epicor is reachable with those credentials.
Go to Manage Team > Connections and open the Epicor connection.
Click Test Performance or open the diagnostics panel.
Use the generated curl command to test the Epicor login API directly.
